About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate and curious Backend Developer/Intern to join our team. This is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience working with a modern backend stack. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and get exposure to real-world systems architecture, performance optimization, and cloud-native development—all with the support of a dedicated mentor. No Compensation will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in building backend services and APIs using Node.js and Express or Fastify
· Work with real-time communication features using Socket.IO
· Contribute to integration with Azure cloud services and deployment pipelines
· Learn and work with RabbitMQ for messaging and Google AI Platform for smart features
· Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
· Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members in a cross-functional environment
· Follow best practices in API design, performance, and security
Requirements:
· Basic understanding of JavaScript and Node.js
· Familiarity with Express or Fastify (or eagerness to learn)
· Interest in working with databases and understanding of REST APIs
· Willingness to explore cloud platforms like Azure
· Curiosity around event-driven architecture and tools like RabbitMQ
· Open to learning new tools and cloud-based workflows
· Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively
Nice to Have:
· Exposure to Socket.IO or real-time systems
· Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases
· Awareness of cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud)
· Enthusiasm for AI/ML tools or platforms like Google AI Platform
